Abstract
Objective: To conduct a comprehensive bioclimatic assessment of meteorological conditions in health resort area and to evaluate the efficacy of resort-based therapy in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD).
Materials and methods. The study analyzed the bioclimatic potential of the “Krinitsa” Health Resort (Zhdanovichi, Minsk District, Minsk Region, Republic of Belarus) based on the archival meteorological data from 2020 to 2025. The pathophysiological impact of these factors on changes in the subjective symptoms of 50 IHD patients was evaluated during a 14-day resort- based rehabilitation course in the winter. Climatotherapy programs for IHD patients were optimized using digital technologies.
Results. The comprehensive bioclimatic assessment revealed that meteorological conditions impose a high stress on IHD patients during winter, whereas spring, autumn, and summer offer favorable conditions. The study showed that a moderate temperature regime (equivalent effective temperature +22.3°C), low annual temperature variability (annual amplitude 23.0°C), and consistently high relative humidity (78%) facilitated by hydro-air ionization from a nearby body of water have pronounced cardioprotective and sedative effects. Analysis of the efficacy of resort-based climatotherapy demonstrated a highly significant, differentiated regression of symptoms (p<0.001): the resolution of cardiac pain (Day 2, with 2% episodes on Day 10), dyspnea (Day 3), arrhythmic syndrome (Day 4), and anginal pain (by Day 11).
Conclusion. A statistically significant therapeutic value of the proposed automated approach was revealed for all evaluated signs and a highly significant linear regression of the main pathological syndromes in IHD patients was recorded. Digitalizing climatotherapy programs via a mobile application will enable the management of predicted risks regarding IHD exacerbation.
